UP YOURS "ATTACK" - LP
After almost 5 years without giving any sign of life we get the new work from Up Yours, the skinhead band from Huesca, by the name of "Attack" and edited by the label from Madrid Tough Ain't Enough Records.
Without listening to it and seeing the artwork, the record already seems to be great. It has a very basic but atractive desing and what is better than Saint George to represent the title of the new mini album.
It is a 12" vinyl record with six new tunes in the same line of their previous release "Deception", but with a better sound and maybe more aggressive also. Not all of the songs are new. Two of them have been taken from their demo, a great choice in my opinion.
They start with the song that entitles the album, "Attack", and you can already make an idea of what you'll find afterwards: lots of melodies, choirs, very well-executed guitar riffs and strength. They continue with of their demo tunes, "Carry on", that is maybe the fastest in the album. Then "where is reality?", one of those slow tunes that will attract your attention and after listening to it lots of times it's probably one of my favourites.
In the other side, you can find "Up Yours" from their demo, "Skinheads", a statement of values without any doubt and "the Flame of the North", probably the most different tune in the album one of the best in my opinion because of its acoustic guitars and sounds of other times that talk about their land.
It's realeased in a limited edition of only hand-numbered 250 copies in black and red record and includes an insert with the lyrics, photos and a small text about the band
In general, I liked a lot the album, although maybe is a bit too short. I think that because of this album I might appreaciate more their previous work, or least I would now recommend it.
If you wantto know more about the band you only have to get the last Riot Kid skinzine's last edition and read the interview we have made to them.
