PERKELE "BEST FROM THE PAST" - LP
The swedish band comes to be news once more!! Unfortunately we're not getting a new album, but a compilation of some tunes chosen by Ron (vocals), or what it would be some kind of "best of" we've been seeing through these years. It seems the golden egg chicken still has some eggs for us. There's a total of 20 songs, taken from their previous albums, where we are able to find great anthems. It's a "really limited" (notice the quotation marks) of 1000 digipacks and 500 double LP coloured records. Possibly, this new release becomes in another success and I hope they sell it correctly, I wouldn't like anything else for them. Nevertheless, it's a disc that doesn't bring me much of attention. And something similar happens to me with the band in general (in this moments). When they began playing in the 90s it was a total bang. People lost their minds with them and in some cities ours you had two choices, hide that you loved the band or say it openly and maybe get beated up. However throughout the years and from one day to another, we started to be "permitted" to listen to Perkele and then... I think it was too late. The band wasn't the same than before. They still released really great works, but it wasn't anything like the same. With time, they've changed the line-up, their 'look' and I think that's why they've lost many followers. Or at least the band got to a point that became a bit indifferent to many. But even so, I can say that this is a disc that I'll include in my collection. I already have all of their previous works and, why not getting this one and have almost all of their best tracks all in the same record?
